After a night of rain, the day started off chilly. Left the guesthouse at 4 am and limped myself warm under the    occasional company of some roosters declaring their territory. Dusk released a beautiful countryside withl low laying fog. Black people commuting, snuggled up on open cargo trucks. Left and right a play with three acts: Maize, Sun Flowers and ahead a dead straight road. After 8 my physical condition started to deteriorate rapidly. No energy in my legs, the left hip and ankle in pain, the rucksack weighing heavy - and back was my psycho game from the second day! When I reached my motivational lowpoint at about 13.00,  friends of mine, Wendy and Gerard, showed up totally unexpected. They came to say hello, but their visit turned out to be a total game changer. After coaching from Gerard's side I knew that I have to reduce my equipment to an absolute core. I left the place with the bare necessities, wrapped in a bew rucksack that Wendy went to shop while I sorted out things with Gerard.
Thereafter I headed to Bothaville's doctor Cotzee to get a Voltarene injection into my left but and some medication for the road. Lying in bed at the sweet and welcoming B&B Louvre, amazed at what I got myself into. Will be heading for Hoopstad tomorrow.

Hey brother, armchair, wheelchair, not quite sure what I would prefer right now. I might need the latter for my last few days. Should work since it's going to be mostly downhill. xo
