One more day and I'll be walking my first leg from Johannesburg through Soweto to Wagterskop. The weather forecast presents a mixed picture. Temperature ranges from 13 to 27 degrees Celsius and it might rain within the first few days. Enough reasons to get wet, be it from in- or outside. The more important it was to prepare a lightweight set of clothes that carry humidity out and protect me from wind and rain. For the inner layer I chose underwear from Odlo's Cubic Light series comprising underpants and a long sleeved shirt. To prevent chaffing I will be wearing a pair of Nike skins. For the mid layer I bought Haglöfs' bungy jacket. Both layers have a very high proportion of Polyester. For the outer layer I opted for Arcteryx' Theta SL Jacket, a great lightweight companion.
